Who are we laughing at?
I saw a video couple of days back doing rounds of Facebook. It was the video of a Doordarshan reporter reporting from IFFI – titled “The most stupid DD Anchor straight from IFFI, Goa”. The video went viral after being released and the reporter being slammed for being the most stupid anchor. The initial share I saw, is now made private. There was an article too by India Today group which aptly titled it 20 howlers from the most stupid TV anchor ever – Do not think of going there, it’s removed now.
I too laughed for sometime but then I realized what a sad state if mind we have!
Snap of the Day – 25 August, 2014 – Adi
The last Snap of the Day was 07th December, 2012 – a day shy of my son’s birth. After 20 months, I’m trying to revive the series and with the pic of my son, Aditya.
New Year – 2014
At stroke of midnight, another year will be history.
For Delhi, a party less than a year old trumped the ruling party for 15 years which was reduced to ashes but still it formed the Government (which is a different story). Some turning point decisions over Nirbhaya and then there was one over LGBT. Controversies still rampant and then someone won Bigg Boss. Mass destruction by floods in Uttarakhand to disaster prevention in Odisha. We have started our run to the Mars yet we struggle with things here on Earth. Scams which ruled headlines last year were overshadowed by the hopes that something better is coming up.
With this hope we bid adieu to the year 2013 and welcome the New Year 2014. Wishing everyone a healthy, wealthy, safe, sound, prosperous New Year.
