New Year – 2014

At stroke of midnight, another year will be history.

For Delhi, a party less than a year old trumped the ruling party for 15 years which was reduced to ashes but still it formed the Government (which is a different story). Some turning point decisions over Nirbhaya and then there was one over LGBT. Controversies still rampant and then someone won Bigg Boss. Mass destruction by floods in Uttarakhand to disaster prevention in Odisha. We have started our run to the Mars yet we struggle with things here on Earth. Scams which ruled headlines last year were overshadowed by the hopes that something better is coming up.

With this hope we bid adieu to the year 2013 and welcome the New Year 2014. Wishing everyone a healthy, wealthy, safe, sound, prosperous New Year.

Can India be superpower?

Every now and then we hear this that India will be a super power. First time (I remember) I heard it was about 1998 when Pokhran test was successfully conducted and India declared itself as nuclear power. The next I heard was when IT was booming (it could be still) but then Hyderabad was asked to be Cyberabad and not proposed Capital of Telanagana (may be I never read it before). Below is my take on India (ever) being a super power. Rupee is falling day by day and in newspaper we read a standard template “Rupee falls a new low. Drops … in a day”. Government may be doing something about it but what common public hears is a new policy, a new corruption, a new issue to fight over.

Are we better compared to Pre-Independence?

Latest news of today is India is getting its 29th state. India continues to be divided again and again on basis of language which was started by British colonizers. 66 years after Independence, we still gained anything? Continue reading “Are we better compared to Pre-Independence?”

The New Year is here

Many places have replaced their calendars and in few hours rest will. It doesn’t matter we change clocks or calendars unless we change something.

Year 2012 was supposed to be year of doom as per people studying Mayan culture but that did not happen yet there were signs of end is near. Many natural calamities and sudden death of some known personalities. Some moments to be proud of and others direct a much required introspect.

To preach is easy but to follow is equally difficult. Wishing everyone a healthy, wealthy, safe, sound, prosperous New Year and we learn to be better human if not all the above.

Dew Xtreme Tour, Delhi

On 5th May 2012, we were invited to Nokia Lumia sponsored Dew Xtreme Tour at The Great India Place, Noida. Before the event there was a awesome performance by band The Aphids. Before the crowd could get a breath, it was VJ Ranvijay to steal the show. Ranvijay kickstarted the main event. There were athletes of world fame, who have individually won not one but multiple X-Games events and are big names world-over in Xtreme sports. It was tough to click the pics as the athletes were moving at high-speed, hence images are blurred at many places. Actress Gul Panag was also at venue (whose pic we will share later).

All the pictures here are untouched and directly from camera, no processing is done or whatsoever. We did our best to get you the best shots possible so please do your bit by clicking on Like/Tweet/Share/Leave a comment. Thanks to @NokiaIndia for inviting us to the venue and enjoy the event.
