Streaming dreams – Part 1

For sometime I’ve tried using services like Apple Store or Google Play Store to purchase or rent movies. The new services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Eros Now, Zee5, AltBalaji, Sony and many others. They are also creating original contents which are quite interesting. We are living in a cord-cutter’s dream world. The plethora of choices cause us to over-subscribe just like some channels we pay for 1-2 good programs. This in turn is the reason some end up paying more or are still living with the old cable/DTH. This is my memoir of accessing my movies from anywhere.

Choose your Batteries

We buy many shiny new devices some with in-built battery and some with external power source or user replaceable battery. How many times have you seen devices with replacement battery not performing as good as with stock batteries? It could be normal wear and tear but not getting optimal battery life, is also an issue. Music to the ears

I’ve always preferred good sound. This is one of key reasons I can’t bear the sight (read sound) of those shaky camrips. And, when this is combined with taste is music, it becomes quite tricky. I’ve recently got Audio Technica ATH-M50x Matte Gray (Limited Edition) and the moment I put it on, I was like – Wow! These are epic. They are actually cheaper than my current existing set of earphones/headphones. In the past I’ve owned some decent earphones/headphones but there are some memorable ones.

₹2000 Welcome but no Thank You

India and Indians went crazy as soon as Indian PM Narendra Modi announced ₹500 & ₹1000 notes are no more legal. Yeah! Take that. It’s a big f*ck you to the black money hoarders and people who love keeping notes at home. There’s one more category more upset, our homemakers who preserve that precious green. All in all considered, this is a welcome step and a master stroke. When self-declaration of black money did not happen, this is indeed going to pull out such people out of the hole or they lose all their worth. I feel, we are still missing the bigger picture.
